My name is Marc and I am a 24 year old guy who just finished a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in New Venture Creation at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, B.C.
I have never done any bicycle touring before, but have decided to cycle across Canada with my 2 friends Melanie & Chris. This should be quite the adventure!
Last summer, I was the bicycle butler at the Fairmont Pacific Rim downtown Vancouver. It was an experience that I’ll never forget, but this year I’m going to top that bicycle experience and cycle across the country.
I am originally from Ontario and moved to B.C. for school 2years ago. So far, I have absolutely loved living out West, much better than On-terrible. I completed my Bachelor of Science at McMaster in 2010 and have essentially spent the last 4 years traveling and learning. I spent 5months traveling Europe including about 3months living/ working in England, I now know why Chris moved here! I spent 8months living/ working in New Zealand as well. I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of this travel bug as it makes life more interesting.
I’m a fairly athletic guy. I used to play rugby, hockey, basketball, any sport really and currently spend my time cycling, slack lining and cycling. I love camping and anything outdoors really.
I love adventure, hence the 8400km bicycle trip across. For me this trip is more about the adventure than the trip or destination. I know there are going to be some really HARD/ BAD days but the good days will make it all worth it. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this beautiful country we call home.
I am the current CEO of the SuperAwesomeFunClub, we are pretty damn superawesomefun!! This trip will bring many joyjoys (TM) and nomnoms (TM) shall be enjoyed along the way!
I can’t wait to get going and experience Canada in a whole new way!
